    OSTARA Op-Amp

    Op-amp clean boost.

The OSTARA Op-Amp is a clean boost pedal. It provides 20dB of gain.

Differences between the OSTARA Op-Amp and the original OSTARA include:

    • “Eclipse” artwork
    • Op-amp amplification circuit for a clean boost
    • 0dB of gain at 0% knob travel

This clean boost pedal features high-end components and point-to-point wiring. Place it before your fuzz or distortion pedal to push more saturation out of your pedal chain. Or place it before your tube amp to take optimal advantage of your amp’s distortion.

This is a made-to-order pedal. Please allow 2 weeks lead time.

    OSTARA DIY Kit

    DIY point-to-point boost pedal kit.

The OSTARA is a simple transistor-based boost pedal. This is the point-to-point guitar pedal kit version.

This kit is for intermediate or advanced pedal builders. You should be reasonably adept at soldering.

    TOOLS REQUIRED:

    • Soldering iron
    • Solder
    • Helping hands
    • Needle nose pliers
    • Wire cutters
    • A socket set (specifically 10mm, 3/8”, 1/2”, and 9/16” sockets)
    • A Philips head #2 screwdriver
    • A small flat head screwdriver (ex. eyeglasses screwdriver)

The OSTARA kit was proudly produced in Calgary Alberta, Canada. It is one of the first of its kind, a “dead bug”-style point-to-point effects pedal kit.

Differences between the OSTARA and the OSTARA Op-Amp include:

    • “Full moon” artwork
    • Transistor amplification for a colourful boost
    • 0dB of gain at 50% knob travel

A transistor boost increases your guitar signal which can produce a multitude of different saturation effects depending on where it is in your signal chain. Place it before your fuzz or distortion pedal to apply more gain, or place it after your effects chain to saturate your amp’s preamp tubes.

This style of boost pedal can attenuate your signal too. With the knob in the centre (50%), the output volume is roughly the same as the input volume. Turning it left attenuates the signal while turning it right boosts the signal up to ~20 db.

Every pedalboard needs a transistor boost! Build your own DIY boost pedal with this point-to-point kit!

Always solder in a well ventilated area, and never breathe solder fumes.

    OSTARA

    Transistor boost.

The OSTARA is a simple transistor boost pedal.

Differences between the OSTARA and the OSTARA Op-Amp include:

    • “Full moon” artwork
    • Transistor amplification for a colourful boost
    • 0dB of gain at 50% knob travel

This colourful boost pedal features high-end components and point-to-point wiring. Place it before your fuzz or distortion pedal to push more saturation out of your pedal chain. Or place it before your tube amp to take optimal advantage of your amp’s distortion. The knob allows you to control the amount you are saturating the transistor, giving you full control over your amount of drive.

This style of boost pedal can attenuate your signal too. With the knob in the centre (50%), the output volume is roughly the same as the input volume. Turning it left attenuates the signal while turning it right boosts the signal up to ~20 db.

    STUTTER/SILENCE

    Dual killswitch.

STUTTER/SILENCE is a dual killswitch pedal.

The SILENCE killswitch is latched and will mute the signal when pressed.

The STUTTER killswitch is momentary and will mute the signal only when held down. If the signal is muted with the SILENCE killswitch, STUTTER will instead allow signal to pass when held down.

This effect will work passively without the LED. The 9V DC is only used to power the LED.

    This pedal features point-to-point soldering.

**Note that the STUTTER footswitch is tactile and has a click.**
